Become an Epilepsy Ambassador and make a difference!
Do you ever wish that more people knew about epilepsy? Do you think your neighbour, boss, teacher, or even your friend could use some help understanding this disorder? Here is your opportunity to do your part in helping educate those you know and the greater public about epilepsy. After all, if we want the public to be more understanding about epilepsy, we've got to do our part to make this happen!

Here are two Ambassador Campaigns you can get involved in, and make a big difference!

Ambassador Campaign - Epilepsy Booklet. You can distribute our new booklet entitled "Your Understanding Matters". It features some of our own members who live with epilepsy and demonstrates the diversity of this disorder and how it affects all types of people, from small children to successful entrepreneurs. The campaign also gives you - a member of the epilepsy community - a chance to have your voice heard. On the very last page there is a space for you to tell your story, whether you personally live with epilepsy or are a friend or family member of someone who has seizures, this is your chance to share your epilepsy experience. What would you like the world to know about epilepsy?

To get copies of this booklet to distribute to people you know, please call the office at 416.964.9095.
Ambassador E-mail Campaign. Do you have access to e-mail? If so, we're asking you to send out a short video about epilepsy and stigma. In this video, our very own members describe how stigma of epilepsy exists and urges the public to get to know the facts about this disorder. With a click of a button you can educate many people to help reduce stigma that many with epilepsy face. To participate, just sign up with Nicole Nelson by calling 416.964.9095 or send her an email at nnelson@epilepsytoronto.org
